7-31-2010During the month of July, OEC members experienced 86 outages affecting 2350 members.Major storms accounted for 41 of the outages and affected 1,444 members. Primary URD faults accounted for 10 of the outages and 278 members. Trees falling into lines accounted for 10 outages and 353 members. Bird and squirrel activity accounted for 10 outages and 160 members.
7-27 to 7-28evening into early morningOur system was hit once again with high winds, dropped trees and lightning. We had 17 outages which affected 814 members. The area north of Highway 64 on both sides of Parkway Rd was hit hard and accounted for 396 of the members affected. The Marl/Lee Lake area had 3 separate outages which accounted for 54 of the members. The School Rd/Harry's Rd area in the town of Underhill had a large outage which accounted for 57 of the members. An outage that affected A phase of the north feeder of the Brookside sub affected 304 members. The area would have been everything north of the Brookside sub, then west along Liegeois Rd and south along the frontage Rd to Brown Rd. The original outage was restored at 10:44pm. However, due to the severity of the lightning strike, an elbow backed out of one of the cabinets just south of Central Heating in Abrams so everything south of there was not re-energized until the problem was found 2 1/2 hours later.

7-19eveningLast nights' storms seemed to hit the northeastern part of our system hardest. Everyone out north of the intersection of Cty M and Cty AA on the MIR due to many trees through the line, 39 members. Everyone out west and north of the intersection of Hill Rd and Spruce Rd in the town of Breed due to trees through the line, 49 members out. A fuse open at the intersection of Cty I and Fuller Rd due to lightning, 19 members out. 4 TRF fuses open due to lightning spread across our territory.
7-14 & 7-15Weds mornig into Thursday2 to 3 hoursThe storm system that came through our area in the last 24 hours created 13 outages for a total of 410 members out. A tree down in the Peshtigo Brook Rd area in the town of Breed, 76 members out. A tree down in the Schutt Rd/Bloom Rd area in the town of Underhill, 27 members out. West end of County Rd Z area in the town of Bagley, 88 members out. West side of Kelly Lake, 93 members out. Hill Rd in the town of How, 6 members out. 2 phases of the North feeder out of the Coleman Sub, 107 members. An URD tap south of Micoley Rd in the Town of Spruce, 3 members out. A tap south off of State Highway 22 in the town of Oconto, 3 members out. A TRf fuse on 4 Towns Rd in the town of Maple Valley, 2 members out. A TRf fuse on Cty Rd CC in the town of Oconto Falls, 1 member out. A TRf fuse on S 27th Rd in the town of Pound, 1 member out. Crews are still working on restoring power to members in the Shay Lake area where a tree fell through the line.
7-7 to 7-82 TRF outages due to lightning, 1 on Sunny Slope Rd and 1 on Klaus Lake RD. An URD primary fault on Nellis Lane south of Crawford Rd in the town of Abrams. A line outage on Klaus Lake Rd due to lightning, 9 members. Trees through the line created a line outage in the Cty Rd S, Sampson Rd area in the town of Abrams, 17 members. Lightning created a line outage on the east end of Schroeder Rd in the town of Morgan, 9 members.
4th of July weekendA stormy weekend caused several outages. Friday night 10 members out on Hazelnut Ln in the town of Oconto Falls due to a tree and 59 members out in the Geano Beach/Cottage Rd area in the town of Little Suamico due to an URD elbow failing. Saturday a single trf outage on Military Rd due to a squirrel. Sunday a tree on the line on West Shay Lake Ln caused a 33 member outage, a trf outage due to improper fuse size due to the load on Cty VV, and another tree on the line on Military Rd caused an 87 member outage.
6-30-2010OEC members experienced 44 outages during the month of June affecting 1,844 consumers for a total of 2356 consumer hours out. Planned outages for the rebuild of the K2 line in the Cty Rd B/Rost Lake area accounted for 708 of those hours. Heavy winds causing trees to fall into power lines accounted for 841 hours and bird/squirrel activity accounted for another 456 hours.
6-15 & 6-16late evening into early morning1 to 2 hoursEntire systemLate last night we had a tree go through the line creating an outage that affected 306 members. It affected A phase of the north feeder of the Brookside sub which now also feeds the 141 corridor south to Brown Rd. Early this morning a tree took the line down creating an outage that affected 92 members in the Peshtigo Brook Rd area in the towns of Bagley and Breed and a tree took the line down on County Rd AA on the MIR affecting 45 members and a branch caused a single outage on Van Cassel Lane in the town of Breed and a broken cutout on Delcore Rd in the town of Oconto caused an outage that affected 14 members.

5/31/2010During the month of May, OEC members experienced 46 outages affecting 1330 members, and accounting for 3034 outage hours.A wind storm May 5th accounted for 12 outages and 520 members. Primary URD faults accounted for 3 outages and 15 members. Trees falling on power lines accounted for 10 outages and 64 members. A tree burning on the line accounted for 1 outage affecting 356 members.

4-30-2010In the month of April, OEC members experienced 43 outages, affecting 1648 members, for a total of 2792 outage hours out. A windy spring bringing down trees on branches on power lines accounted for over half the outages.
3-31-2010In the month of March, OEC members experienced 13 outages which affected 98 members for a total of 84 outage hours out.2 of the outages affecting 23 members were member caused by dropping trees onto our lines. The wind caused another tree to fall on our lines creating an outage that affected 38 members.
2-28-2010OEC members experienced 12 outages during the month of February affecting 118 members for a total of 186 outage hours out.There were 2 outages affecting more than 30 people. They were caused by a planned outage and a failed piece of equipment in a substation.
1-31-2010OEC members experienced 11 outages in the month of January, affecting 327 members for a total of 513 outage hours.A vehicle accident on Hwy Z west of Klondike accounted for 460 of the outage hours.
