Oconto Electric Cooperative Receives 2006 Friend of Education Award On November 14, 2005, Oconto Electric Cooperative was presented the 2006 Friend of Education award at the November meeting of the Oconto Falls School Board. Jon Makuck, Principal of the Oconto Falls Elementary School submitted a letter of recommendation in support of OEC receiving the award. In his letter Mr. Makuck states, “It is evident that the employees at Oconto Electric Cooperative are proactive members for our children, schools and community. Their willingness to serve our schools through financial contributions, implementing “kid programs”, donating equipment, time and manpower, exhibits the true principles of teamwork and cooperation.” Oconto Electric Cooperative is proud to receive the 2006 Friend of Education Award. The co-op feels that children are the future and strives to help children become intelligent, valuable members of the community.
