Oconto Electric Cooperative's Electric Water Heater Program
Commercial
OEC sells Marathon electric water heaters – one of the most energy efficient brands on the market. Here are some of the features:
Marathon
- Seamless, blow-molded polybutylene tank is impervious to rust or corrosion
- Foam insulation blankets entire unit for maximum energy savings
- Bowl-shaped tank bottom allows for more complete sediment drainage
- An all-plastic inner tank eliminates the need for an anode rod - preventing potential odor problem
- Bottom element is Teflon-coated stainless steel for extended life
- Warranty information:
- Five-year parts and labor warranty for most small commercial applications
- Three-year parts and labor warranty for dairy and agribusiness applications
- OEC limited extended warranty (applies after manufacturer's warranty expires). OEC will replace up to two thermostats and/or two elements per heater, per year for up to ten years from installation date
- After all warranties expire, OEC will provide parts and labor at 25% discount

*Prices listed are after the load management rebate has been issued. Pricing also requires a minimum of 5-years participation in OEC's Load Management Program. OEC will install the load management receiver at no cost after the water heater has been installed.
